The University of Queensland’s Aboriginal Environments Research Centre and Indigenous Design Place has compiled a survey to explore themes, and the elements within each of these. We also want to rank the themes to understand their level of importance to the Aboriginal community.
As part of the Future South Bank Master Plan, some of South Bank's spaces and facilities may be redesigned or improved over the next 30
years. The theme board activity helps us understand what elements are most appealing and what are not. We also want to identify opportunities on how we could make these place more welcoming and inclusive of Aboriginal culture.
Through this survey, we are seeking to capture information about Aboriginal knowledge and culture to help us identify future planning and programming opportunities at South Bank. This engagement survey will help inform the Future South Bank Master Plan.
